The main goal in Rummy is to arrange the cards in your hand into sets or runs and discard all your cards before your opponent does. Each round you draw a card from the deck and discard an unwanted one. Knowing which cards to keep and when is the strategy that determines the winner.

Top strategies for winning at Rummy
Practice these strategies to improve your chances of winning when playing Rummy at 7999aa.
Form sets and runs quickly
Try to complete at least one valid set or run within the first few turns of the game. This reduces your point load and helps you stay under less pressure.
Watch your opponent's cards
Pay attention to which cards are being discarded in the discard pile. Getting an idea of the set your opponent is building makes it easier to plan your own strategy.
Discard high-point cards early
Use or discard high-value cards — Ace, King, Queen, Jack — quickly. Otherwise, if your opponent declares first, your point penalty will be much higher.
Use Joker cards wisely
A Joker can substitute for any card. It is most effective for filling gaps in the middle of large sets or long runs.
Stay calm under pressure
In Rummy, strategy matters more than luck. Take your time and make the best decision each turn without rushing. Practice first at 7999aa's free practice tables.
